Overview

Consultation is a key aspect of gaining consensus for the proposed options and the successful delivery of a future flood scheme. As such the project team engaged with key stakeholders at various periods, and would continue to engage with statutory stakeholders and the public throughout any future scheme development.

The following consultation events were held as part of the study:

• Stakeholder consultation (including representatives from Stonehaven Flood Action Group) – 7 November 2018
• Public consultation on long list of options – 29 January 2019
• Public consultation on economically viable short listed options – 13 June 2019
• Stonehaven Flood Action Group meeting – 27 August 2019

No further consultation events are proposed for this phase of the study.  Further consultation would be a key element of any future design phases, should the study be taken forward.
